We haven’t had a lot of staff parties in the past: not a whole lot of spare cash to splash around, too much anxiety while waiting to find success just around the next corner, too much work left to do. But not this time.

This time we had done the work, we had our first taste of success, and now there was even some money in the bank to allow us to throw a bit of a to-do.

So we did in fine fashion at Gerritz, then moved on for after-party drinks and dancing at Kalahari. A few intrepid party-goers even made it to the final stop at Mayela night club.

The celebration was memorable, the photos are unforgettable evidence, and now there’s a long weekend to enjoy a bit of rest. And when we reassemble on Tuesday morning to kick off the next leg of our work journey I’m sure we’ll all feel better for having taken a night to come together and mark a company milestone.

About Graham Lettner

My wife and I recently moved from Zambia back home to Alberta. I'm lucky to have been asked to be a guest blogger for the Localize Project. I love writing stories, and when the subject is food -- something that connects us to the planet and to each other -- the stories are endless.
